CNC Special Features - Conversational G-Code

Most control systems use either a conversational or a G-gode programming format. ANILAM's 4000- and 5000-series CNC systems combine both, easily and smoothly.

The program can be generated direct in G-code or it can be generated by using ANILAM's conversational icon based help utility. There are icons for lines, arcs, pockets, drilling cycles and more. Selecting an icon activates the desired contour. The corresponding G-code is described in machinist's language and the operator gets conversational prompts for data input. As the data input is completed, the desired program step is also completed in the program.

The program is finally verified in ANILAM's user-friendly draw graphics mode, simultaneously drawing the part, displaying the program and showing the CNC status.
