Kit Components

Essential for obtaining the desired machining accuracy is the accuracy of the kit components. ANILAM's extensive experience in engineering kits ensures precise and trouble-free operation for a long time. Assemblies, refined and proven over many years, transmit the motion to the work piece accurately and reliably.

ANILAM ballscrews for X- and Y-axis are precision-ground with preloaded ball nut assemblies. There is a measured set for every machine tool.


ANILAM offers powerful DC servo motors for driving the axes. Standard torque is 31 in-lb (3.5 Nm), but 41 in-lb (4.5 Nm) motors are also available.



For the drive of the X- and Y-axis, rugged one-piece machined castings guarantee reliable and accurate operation.



The drive assemblies link the motors to the ballscrews. ANILAM's know-how of Kit-style CNC is truly manifested in the engineering of these drive assemblies and their built-in
transmissions.

ANILAM's quill readout assembly provides the means for a 2-axis control, 3200MK, to read and display the Z-axis position on the screen. An ANILAM precision linear encoder is used for the feedback.

In case of non-rigid head applications, ANILAM provides a quill drive assembly for the Z-axis. This rugged, durable, one-piece casting incorporates ANILAM's unique, time-tested and proven quill-block design. A precision ground ballscrew ensures the accuracy. The assembly holds a powerful servo motor for smooth and fast operation.


Ready-to-install limit switch assemblies are available suitable for a variety of machines. ANILAM promotes safety by using both software and hardware limits.



Precision linear encoders are available as an option for feedback when the highest accuracy is required. Using linear encoders optimizes the position accuracy by effectively eliminating all possible errors in the chain between the servo motors and the workpiece, even temperature induced errors during operation.


Several optional remote devices can be supplied for manual operations. The remote Start/Stop and the remote electronic handwheel are ideal for set up and teach modes. ANILAM's new Handy Pulser has electronic handwheel, axis selection and resolution switches, all in one.


The control will automatically handle the lubrication of the machine. ANILAM offers an Autolube hardware option for this purpose.



 If additional I/O capability is required, additional I/O-modules will provide it. One I/O-module has 10 inputs and 6 outputs (if required, one output can be jumper selected as an analog input). The 3000-series controls can take one more I/O-module whereas the 5000-series can take up to five more I/O-modules (one additional I/O-module willl be required if the Handy Pulser option is included). These modules are mounted external of the kit cabinets. They fit in DIN-rail holders if available.



The ANILAM off-line software package makes programming away from the machine a simple procedure. This software provides both teaching and practice procedures and includes a comprehensive programming manual, disk for the software and an offline key for operation.
